Recently...

Saturday - I hung lights all day. I really like hanging lights you get to be way up high in the lift and people on the ground push you around to where you need to be and attach the lights to a rope so you can pull them up into the bucket with you. I was working with the guy named Nate, who was pretty cute. I want to say he plays a sport, but i don't' know which one and i can't really be sure that I'm actually correct with that assumption. He's a senior, but he's not graduating till December '07 because he has more student teaching left to do. He's an education and theater major. He wasn't very talkative though, but like how much can you say when the person you are working with is like 15 or so feet above your head. He's strong though he was pushing the lift around like it was no problem at all (i find it really difficult to move the lift and feel really incompetent so i was really glad he didn't mind staying on the ground and letting me have all the fun) Then at night i hung out with Emily, Judith and some others. I met this boy named Steve who lives down the hall from them. He doesn't have facebook. He's a freshman and is kinda cute but should probably shave off his facial hair. Judith likes him, but i kinda do too, but like I've never seen him before so it's not like I'll see him all the time. Probably I'll only like him for the next few days. He's really nice and very talkative so that's a plus. He hung out with us most of the night. He liked my blue and yellow kangaroos which is cool. He said he'd contact me if he needed any help with facebook. (Judith and I were on his case for a while about how easy it was and that he needed to have one.) But he doesn't have my number or anything, although my email wouldn't be to hard to find. He said he'd contact me through Emily. idk - kinda strange encounter.

Emily's sister and her boyfriend were visiting this weekend and they made up this game called mirror Frisbee. Basically someone throws a Frisbee at you and you have to catch it, but you can only look in the mirror, so it's really difficult.

Sunday - I walked to Wal-mart and bought stuff for my sculpture class (again - i have to buy so much stuff for that class - it's so annoying) and i also picked up a coffee grinder, Happy Feet, and Robin Hood Men in Tights on DVD. So at least i have so fun new stuff. Although i have no time to watch them. Maybe later this week. I also wish i had time to make cookies. I like cookies.

I'm suppose to be writing a paper, the same paper i was suppose to write over spring break. I like the painting I'm working on (Titian - "Venus of Urbino") but if i work on the paper for too long i get angry and frustrated and mad. Not at the paper, or titian or Venus but at my life. It always ends up being "She's so beautiful, why can't i be that gorgeous" "I'll never be immortal" (in the literary/artistic sense of being preserved in a painting/poem/story) "Why can't i live back in the day and be a Venetian courtesan?" (I would have loved to see Venice back when it was a "real" city and not a tourist location, back when people wore dresses and went to balls, and all that romantic stuff). Oh well, can't go back in time.
