Moving On...

So i finally broke down and bought my self a pair of new flip flops. Now you might be thinking that as a swimmer i have an excess of flip flops, which is true, but really i only wear my black reef sandals. I bought them my freshman year in late April. Since then they have been basically the only pair i really wear and they have been everywhere with me, to work, school, swim meets, Barbados (twice), Italy. They were so flattened out and there was basically nothing left especially under the heal and the ball of my foot, the part between the toes was probably about to come out completely. The funny thing is, under my arch all the little symbols were still left on the bottom, even though I'd completely worn out everything else. They had been loved to death, and i decided it was time to move on. I went back to the same store where i got my first pair and picked out the exact same thing. I ended up giving my old sandals to the guy working there to throw away, other wise i would have taken them home and saved them. I wore my new one's out of the store. I was surprised at how thick the souls were.

Good bye old sandals you got me where i needed to go and protected my feet well.
